General Electric (GE) is one of the world’s largest and most diversified companies with headquarters in Boston. Its products include electrical and electronic equipment, aircraft engines, and financial services. The company has been funding GE-Reagan Foundation to create free scholarships for college to high school students.
GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program
This scholarship opportunity supports students who demonstrate the leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship exhibited by President Ronald Reagan.
The recipient will receive a $10,000 renewable scholarship, up to a total of $40,000, to help with costs including tuition, fees, books, supplies, and on-campus housing. Along with receiving support for their leadership aspirations both throughout their undergraduate and post-college years, the awardee will have the chance to attend a prominent Scholars Retreat in California for free.
To be considered, semifinalists must be nominated by community leaders, such as principals, nonprofit administrators, or mayors.
The following requirements must be satisfied to be eligible for this scholarship opportunity:
- A U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States
- High school senior with plans to enroll in a full‑time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four‑year college or university
- Academic merit with a 3.0 GPA or greater
- Must exhibit leadership attributes in civic engagement
