Whatever your passion in film and video, there is certain to be at least one scholarship video contest that is ideal for you. Scholarship providers, including institutions and businesses, are embracing new technology and the individuals who understand them in order to make interesting and captivating movies. Some scholarship video contests may require a commercial promotional film or a public service message. Others will recognize and praise you for pursuing your own creative endeavors. A scholarship video, like a scholarship essay, will require time and work to prepare. Spend time and effort in your production by grasping the required job and spending a significant amount of time drafting and revising.

The Against The Grain Groundbreaker Leadership Scholarship provides financial assistance and promotion to Asian American college seniors and graduate students who have demonstrated exemplary leadership, vision, and passion, blazing a trail for others to follow and changing lives in the Asian American community. The scholarship awards $1,000 to be used toward school tuition and fees. Please keep in mind that donations will be transferred directly to the student’s educational institution. To be eligible, applicants must be either a high school senior or a college student currently enrolled full-time at an accredited United States vocational, junior college, or four-year college/university, and must be a full-time, associate/bachelor/master degree seeking student by the upcoming academic calendar year. Students of various majors are eligible for the scholarship.

The Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference program is aimed for rising high school seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in journalism and who exhibit “free spirit” attributes. You must be available to attend the all-expenses-paid conference June 24-29 in Washington, D.C. Students must fill out an application and will be notified of their selection by mid-May. Students must be able to attend the conference. If chosen, winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship to their preferred college. In 1999, the program was created to commemorate Al Neuharth, the creator of USA Today, Newseum, and the Freedom Forum. The conference is intended to motivate and inspire students to seek careers in journalism.

The BBB Foundation awards the Students of Integrity Scholarship to high school juniors and seniors who personify and express principles in the real world, as evidenced by community involvement, personal integrity, and academic achievements. The winning application from students residing in Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Washington, or Western Wyoming will be granted a scholarship (Teton, Uinta and Lincoln County). High school students and seniors from around the Northwest are urged to submit by making a 90-second film demonstrating how BBB helps individuals become informed consumers. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and have applied to a higher education institution, such as a university, college, or vocational school.

The CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship is for full-time African-American or Black students pursuing a degree in visual arts, including but not limited to architecture, ceramics, drawing, fashion, graphic design, illustration, interior design, painting, photography, sketching, video production, and other decorative arts. Must be pursuing a profession in the visual arts with a qualifying degree, have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and demonstrate leadership and community involvement. The Bob Eddy Scholarship Program To Foster Journalism Careers is presented by the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists Foundation Inc. The artwork of the National Winner will be exhibited on Google.com for one day. A $30,000 college scholarship, a $50,000 technology package for their school/non-profit organization, a trip to Google headquarters in California, Google hardware, and fun Google swag will also be awarded to the winner.

This scholarship is provided by the Flag Manufacturers Association of America (FMAA) to assist qualifying applicants in achieving their educational goals. This is a one-time prize that is not renewable. Applicants must be enrolled in a college or vocational school to be eligible (high school senior or older). The FMAA Manufacturer Members are genuinely interested in learning about the significance of the American flag to America’s youngsters. The FMAA Scholarship Program allows students to express their thoughts about the flag and their personal opinions on patriotism while also increasing awareness about the “Made in the USA” problem. As part of the application procedure, a video of 90 to 120 seconds in length is requested.

Applicants for the Richard J Holland Memorial Scholarship must plan to enroll or be enrolled in full-time undergraduate studies for the whole academic year at an eligible four-year institution or university. Must show leadership and engagement in extracurricular activities, as well as financial necessity. The prize is renewable for a maximum of three years. Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and intend to enroll or be enrolled in full-time undergraduate studies at an authorized four-year institution or university for the whole academic year. Those from households with yearly earnings of less than $100,000 should apply, as should students with an extenuating condition (medical, recent job change, etc.).

Every year, the Right Fit Foundation awards a local scholarship to a college-bound student in Hillsborough, Pasco, or Pinellas County to assist middle-income families with the rising expense of higher education. Road to Safety Scholarship

Submit an original project addressing the hazards of drunk or distracted driving to the Road to Safety Scholarship Contest. Tell us, in your own unique way, how adolescents can drive safely all of the time. Posters, paintings, drawings, t-shirts, public service announcements, videos, recorded songs, and other creative projects are welcome. Entries will be judged on whether the project effectively conveys the contest theme, how creatively the project delivers the message, and whether the project motivates teens to be more safety-conscious behind the wheel. The winners will be revealed in April and May. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors in Pennsylvania who want to attend college.
Social Entrepreneur Award

The Social Entrepreneur Award winners will get a $10,000 seed grant to turn their concept into a project that tackles the crucial issue. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at a Washington Campus Compact member university. Students must designate one college/university sponsor (faculty or administrator) and/or one public or private community partner who will write a recommendation letter for them. Additionally, applicants must submit one to six (6) images and one (1) short film (less than two minutes) that correctly “tells the narrative” of the service effort.
The James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists

Tupelo Elvis Fan Club Scholarship

All graduating Mississippi high school seniors are eligible for the Tupelo Elvis Fan Club Scholarship. Applicants must post a video of themselves performing a song on their own YouTube channel. Each spring, a group of judges analyzes entries and selects 10 finalists to perform live for their club in Tupelo, MS. Applicants must sing, dance, or play a musical instrument and post a performance video to YouTube for assessment by the selection committee (do not mail in DVDs). This form includes a section for you to provide a link to your video. If selected as a semi-finalist, the candidate will be asked to play live at the Finale in Tupelo, Mississippi.
