The Janet Logan Daily Foundation Scholarship, which is only available to New Jersey graduating high school seniors, rewards students from diverse academic backgrounds who have consistently displayed maturity and integrity both in and out of the classroom. Crystallography has been instrumental in the development of X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction, and neutron diffraction for elucidating the atomic structure of materials. Crystallography is an interdisciplinary discipline that is taught in physics, chemistry, geology, molecular biology, metallurgy, and material science departments. The International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD) has created the Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship Fund to encourage talented graduate students to undertake crystallographically oriented research.

Northern Star Scouting awards academic scholarships to youngsters through the Eagle Scout Scholarship program. Scholarships are given to those who have shown exceptional military leadership, academic accomplishment, and excellent citizenship. There are also scholarships available for Eagle Scouts who are a Northern Star Camp Staffer, a Scout of Southeast Asian heritage, a Scout who has showed a dedication to the Duty to God charge of the Scout Oath, and a Scout with an individual education program (IEP) via a high school.

 

SILA Post- Secondary College Scholarship

Students may apply for one of the SILA Foundation scholarships awards for usage in a recognized post-secondary college or university between April 1st and May 31st of each year. Students must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Insurance/Compliance/Risk Management, Finance/Accounting/Actuarial Science, Business Information, and/or Information Technology. Applicants must be enrolled in at least twelve (12) credit hours at an approved post-secondary institution or be employed full-time while enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at an accredited post-secondary school. Applicants must be citizens of the United States. Citizens or permanent residents with a minimum GPA of 3.0 are eligible.
