Microsoft Scholarship

Each year, Microsoft offers conference and tuition scholarships to support students’ further education in computer science and allied STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields. The scholarship will be given to the winners in honor of their demonstrated love of technology, academic success, and leadership qualities while working to advance the software business.

They strongly encourage people from underrepresented groups to major in STEM subjects because they value a variety of viewpoints and contributions. Offering scholarships to people from backgrounds that may have historically been underrepresented in the technical area is something they are particularly devoted to doing. They give preference to scholarship applications from candidates who have demonstrated outstanding leadership efforts to advance diversity in STEM fields at their university.

Eligibility Requirements – The scholarship is open to the United States, Canada, or Mexico. Applicant must be enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year college or university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico at the time the application is submitted. students should be pursuing Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM degree. Applicant should have satisfactory progress toward an undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related STEM discipline and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 4.0, or a 4.0 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 5.0.
